Gotoh Locking Saddles

At the moment these are pretty hard to find and practically nowhere has them in stock .

I ordered two sets at guitarhey.com as suggested by @secondwindow, they had both in stock, gold and chrome. Shipping to Europe is pretty expensive, but Thomann Germany told me it would take at least 10 months.

I've had both tremolos. The TS is the big steel block and the FST is a black block that allows the string ball to be much closer to the saddle. It gave the strings a slightly less tension feel, the notes had a little more bloom, but it was not as punchy as the TS. I didn't see a difference between the two for tuning stability.

Thanks for that info. I've got 3 guitars with the 510 with the "standard" block.

Be aware that your old saddles might have the screw not in the center but to the side...found this out the hard way with my Ultra Luxe Strat

There are models for both, I believe. There definitely are for the Wilkinson saddles.

I think ... The Gotoh LS are only center, not offset for intonation screws and the three different models are for width. I can't tell for sure from their website.

Bummer that they won't work for you. Gotoh should have better info on their site. They don't have pics or a diagram to show how the position of the intonation screws.

Gotoh LS are three different sizes, all have the screw in the middle. Will have to find a workshop that can drill new threads off center. Or try it myself, but I don´t have proper tools for that finicky task

I installed the other gold set on my Blues Hawk, and there they are working perfectly. Before that, it did go out of tune in the middle of the first song, so practically unusable. Probably the reason why I got it for cheap...I already installed Gotoh locking tuners before which helped, but now it is perfect. I can only recommend these locking saddles but check your old saddles before you buy.

good idea! Will think about it...since it is not a vintage guitar, why not? And a lot easier to accomplish than drilling holes in those tiny blocks

A much better idea! You could by the version of the bridge with the LS installed and (hopefully) return the extra LS you wouldn't need.

if this ends in a terrible mess I can still buy something new...

This is mostly true but tuning stability tends to be better on the T. Tyler use the T as stock and Suhr use the TS as stock .

My Standard has the steel block. The Modern I used to own did as well.
