Gibson LP Studio?

Lefty LP Studios on sale here - 20% off - seems like a rare good deal on those. Gift card received from Santa already burning a hole in my pocket but wondering if it makes sense as I already own an SG standard with same pups / scale length. Any thoughts? I guess pup location, wood type and thickness make a difference. Generally LPs don't attract my interest except for the more subdued (lighter as I understand) studio version. As always, can't try one out as lefty must be ordered.

Maybe the studio LP would sound better than the SG. Or maybe just different in a good way. You never know until you get it home. Best luck!

Absolutely buy one. A good studio is a lifer.

Just get the Paul! it will be a good add to the SG, like a Tele to a Strat.

Find on older one that isn't hollowed out quite so much . 90s ones have a lot better wood selection.
