Gemini 1 question

Im considering picking up a mission gemini 1 cab.

Any major differance between the active and passive one?

I have a matrix gt1000fx power amp so i could save some cash and get the passive one unless thats too much juice. Just not sure how that amp wouod pair with it.

Thoughts?

Actually wondering about this myself! I have a powered Gemini 1 and 2 at the moment and they are both very loud. Especially the Gemini 2 in stereo sounds excellent.

Would love to try a passive Gemini with a Matrix though. I sold my Matrix 2u late year to buy the Gemini 2. I've been hoping a 1u Matrix would show up on eBay for a good price but nothing at the moment

I had a powered gemini 2 212 for a couple years. I wanted a second one and tried the Matrix, 2 passive cabinets set-up. I didn’t like it. Powered sounded better. Also at the time Matrix was having some kind of qc issues and both amps they sent lasted 5 min and shut down. Luckily I didn’t sell the powered 2 I had yet, returned the passives and added the second powered cab. One thing I didn’t like was the rear knobs so I relocated the knobs to the front.
