the new geddy lee preamp has two channels so... is it going to substitute the axe fx? the palmer? or using in conjunction with the axe (whoa!!) i'm very curious about how is going to implement this pre on his rig (hope the axe fx still on it)

Geddy has been a LONG time user of Tech 21 stuff. I get the feeling this is mostly an RPM + RBI in one 1U unit. I don't know how he was using the Axe-Fx previously, but I doubt this is changing much in that particular regard.

The RBI and RPM both had pretty unique and awesome voices, and an absolute ton of tone options that can be easily coaxed out. Running either, or pairing the two, was pretty popular for awhile. I'll eye these when they start hitting the used market a bit and maybe drop one in my studio, unless they get modeled in the Axe-Fx first
