Gate threshold controlled by signal envelope

Is there a way that Fractal link the Noise Gate threshold to an envelope so that it can control how it works depending on the signal coming out of the guitar? What I'm talking about works so you can roll the volume down of the guitar in order to get clean tones but not have your signal squished by the gate.

PS:
If there is a way to do it know can you please let me know? Thanks.

You can assign the threshold to the envelope controller, but it's going to constantly follow all changes in input dynamics and will adjust the expansion accordingly. This will counteract the effectiveness of the gate. It will have no way to differentiate between you turning the volume down or just pausing between notes. You can turn damping up high in the modifier to slow the overall response of the envelope controller so overall it responds to more of an average level instead of an instant level, but that might not be enough depending on what you play. A more controllable approach would be to assign the threshold to an expression pedal and roll the pedal back whenever you roll your guitar volume back. That would keep it steady relative to variations in input dynamics, yet still be adjustable to different overall output levels. Your gate threshold should be set just above your background noise level.
