FX8 relay with the Peavy 6505+

Hey gang. Posted this question on the Facebook group but didn't get any traction...
I was on the cusp of buying a 6505+ but then I read something about needing a custom made cable to switch channels via the FX8 relay jack. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I saw this last night. He mentioned that he made his own cable. Wanted to find out if this has been resolved yet. I'm certainly not handy enough to make a cable.

I used some parts I had around and wired up my own pedal box that I can plug 2 trs cables into from the fx8 then plug to the amp. Was an hour of wiring, the $23 cable is probably your best bet if you don't know how to wire or solder.
