FX8 allow for global lead patch on any preset you are on?

The FX8 presets are similar to Axe FX II presets, not like MFC101 presets. If "global lead patch" means access to a particular preset (similar to MFC101's global preset), you can't currently assign one of the footswitches to that. You can use an external MIDI controller (the MFC101 comes to mind lol) to give yourself instant access to a particular preset or scene regardless of what preset you're in or whether you're in stompbox, preset, or scene mode.

You could probably accomplish what you're trying to do by setting up a "lead" scene on every preset. That scene could turn on a drive or two, change your amp to the lead channel, and/or add some delay and verb. If you use the same scene (S8 for example) on every preset for the lead settings, that would be akin to a "global lead patch" button.

It's gonna be weird making the mental switch over from the Axe Fx II and MFC101 to the EVH 100 watt and the FX8. Not like it's completely foreign, but different all the same. Ideally I would have loved the FX8 to have same button layout and functionality as the MFC101....but that's me being lazy and not wanting to learn something new!
