Fryette PS-2 Vs Seymour Duncan PS 170

The Fryette amps work great with power amp modelling on actually. Check out this video from Fryette:

YMMV of course.

Also note the comment:

Fryette Amps

In these demos we're treating the amplifier models as standalone amplifiers in which the power amp character of the amp model is integral to the sound of the model. In other words, we are in effect slaving the amp into the power amp. Turning the power amp model off wouldn't be very instructive here.

Part of the magic for me wrt a real tube power amps is that they automatically lock on to my real cabs' IC curves (maybe that is the magic that peeps often hear in them - dunno).

Bingo !

you can do what you want with SS power amps as SD PS or matrix, try every single frequency like myself for months and then just use fryette or ksr pa50 and you´re where you wanna be instantly ! for pure playing with real cab it is the best solution, period.
However, if you ever think to send IR to FOH, then you have problem because of coupling IC from tube power amp plus the one from fractal itself.

Have you tried both the PS-2 and PA50 - and if so ... thoughts?
