Frfr availability

Following recommendations that fit my budget I got a Yamaha DXR10. It was ok but I wasn’t crazy about it. I subsequently got a used Yorkville NX10C from L&M for about half the price of the Yamaha and find it much more to my liking. I attribute it largely to the fact that it’s a coaxial speaker design.

This has been discussed extensively before... but I do still use and enjoy my Yamaha DBR10s as FRFR and I find they are fairly flat if the 'Monitor' DSP setting is selected.

Did own Headrush 108 for some time and found them OK... but preferred my Yamahas...

If you decide to go the PA-style route though I believe the best out there are the QSC K10.2, but you're also looking at the >$2k range nowadays...

I also have a Mission Gemini 2 (also definitely not cheap though!) that is available in Canada from Steve's.

Cosmo also has the Laney LFR112, which I really really love as well.

I was also able to purchase direct from AG a Tri112+ that I love for my Bass monitoring needs...

And finally you can obviously get pretty much anything (if patient enough!) via the used market... that's how I was able to put my hands on a mint Atomic CLR last year!

Just my 2-cents!
Cheers,
J

Noticed that here in Canada there isn't alot of frfr options available. I currently have the Headrush 108 and plan to get a 2nd. However that kinda is my only option. There doesn't seem to be alot of options for frfr.

I even thought of using a Seymour Duncan ps170 but even that isn't really available anymore.

Thus I'm wondering if the market for modeler amps/speakers just not that popular or starting to go down?
Are you looking for a guitar cab and guitar speaker or a powered PA speaker? You can get a Xitone or CLR shipped to Canada. Found these:

Seems that the owner/operator of Xitone has gone MIA for some time now….wouldn’t count on them either.
