Free IR's: RCTO V30 2x12 (added Room Captures)

RCTO V30 2x12 is based on a Mesa Boogie™ Rectifier Cabinet™ loaded with a “Holy Grail UK Made T3445” 70w Celestion Vintage 30™ Speakers.

Each shot was taken on various on the speaker in a pseudo DynaCab™ fashion and how I go about micing cabs in the studio. I fine tune the low end to my taste with the distance from the speaker, then File Numbers 01, 02, 03...etc. are the microphones speaker position from the cone to edge for high end brightest to darkest.

Dynamic:
57m - Based on a modified modern Shure™ SM57
UIII - Based on a vintage Shure® Unidyne III SM57
M88 - Based on Beyerdynamic™ M88

Ribbon:
VR2 - Based on sE Electronics™ VR2 (If it's good enough for John Petrucci, it's good enough for me)

Condenser:
CC8 - Based on Austrian Audio™ CC8

All captures are 24bit 500ms MPT (Minimum Phase Transformed)

I had some free time at home between meeting earlier today and had the itch to try a couple room captures from my playing chair. These are at ear height sitting in a chair about 5 feet from the cab. Panned left and right is a nice room effect. I prefer the VR2 for these, but let me know what you prefer.

I'm glad you are like these. York Audio has a Recto 2x12 with SM7b mic captures. I'm not sure the exact locations of his IR's on the speaker. I have that pack and they sound great.

I think I will launch these and a couple new cabs/combos I haven't seen anywhere too early in the New Year for sale to get some $ for more mics and speakers. The SM7b is definitely on the list as well as a Royer 121 so stay tuned. I'm excited to shoot one out against the SE VR2 Ribbon that I have.
