Fractal VP4!

If one has an FM9 and ops to run effects only, do you need one of these is my question? I can totally see those that do not have a Fractal product to get this. But, if you have an FM9 and go OUT 3 cranked for unity gain is this the same thing?

If you have an FM9, no you don’t “need one”.

Will load it up with slot 3 and 4 having the same selection of delay and reverb (since you can get 4 different channels of each!!) and then slot 1 and 2 will be different per preset. That should cover all of my needs. Very excited.
 
I wonder if there is any reason I shouldn't sell my pedals and go for this. Selling should easily pay for the VP4. My pedal board is fairly basic so the 4 blocks per preset shouldn't be too limiting. I'm just wondering, can you turn on and off each effect block in each preset?
Would I be able to power that with my Cioks DC7?

4 effects? According to the Fractal site, I see more than that. Pitch, Flange, Chorus, Delays, Reverbs, Drives, Compressor, Wah, Tremolo, etc and more. Maybe all the same effects that are on my FM9? Not sure.

He meant 4 effects at a time can be used.
