FoxGear Kolt 45 Pedal $65 at MF

Not sure if anyone has used these, but they are basically a guitar amp in a pedal that stay clean all the way up. Which means it's basically a power amp, IMO. lol They're half off at Musicians Friend right now. I bought two to try out with my AF3. We'll see.

Haven't tried it. I'm curious how it's voiced. Is it flat or have they given it an amp tone stack & eq? I can't find out much about that.

Also, it's 45W @ 4ohms. I saw somewhere it's 25W @ 8ohms. I wonder how loud that 25W is really.

Let us know how it goes! If they're flat and loud enough they seem like a good value.

Chickening out not withstanding, I have heard great things about units like these. Before I decided to drop the cash on an Axe-FX III, I considered using a Tight Metal as a pre-amp into one of these guys. It's an interesting use case, at least.
