Forum attachments.... Getting errors uploading blk and syx files

I'm getting an error message when trying to upload a .syx or .blk file to a post.
How do attachments work in the new forum? What has changed since the old one in this regard?
How can I add the block file to a post?

Attachments are limited by size and extension. How big are the files you're trying to upload? Can you host them some place like Dropbox so I can take a look at the them?

Uploads fine for me. Chrome on OS X 10.11.2

Problem is your browser most likely. Try turning off the Flash-based upload dialog. Click on your username > Preferences and then uncheck this:

I had the same issue - disable flash based uploads and it's fine
