Formant Question for Simeon/Bakerman/etc.

I love the background synth presets that Simeon worked on where you can "play" the synth notes with your MFC via scenes, and I'm trying to add upon it a choir-like vocal formant. I've been trying to use the formant block, but I'm not getting anywhere close. Can the formant block in serial after synth blocks make this kind of sound?

This is the sound I'm aiming for. Listen to 20 seconds to roughly 40 seconds.
