FM9 with random foot switch that stops working

I’m having an issue where the FM9 will have a random foot switch stop working. The switch is random and when this happens, I cannot select that scene or preset. Restarting the unit will fix the problem but sometimes only temporarily.

Anyone else have this problem?

Possible you have a loose or poorly seated ribbon cable.

I have had it once where one of the switches suddenly stopped working. Reboot fixed it and it never happened again. Kind of strange.

Yes! Thank you, Søren; that’s exactly what’s happening. I’m worried about it happening at a gig.

Bought a brand new Fm9 and this is happening again with a random Footswitch not working

I did have this when booting up a particular preset where FS #3 wasn't working at all, along with some other gremlins, though rebooting fixed it for me.

Could be the specific preset causing the problem. Have you tried starting on an empty preset and rebuilding it? I know it's a pain but could rule out corruption in your preset

When you say random, do mean a random switch or the same switch at random times?

Appears to me that it is a particular switch, at a specific time...but it could be a different switch the next time...
