Just wanted to chime in here with some feedback on the FM9 after several gigs now. Even band mates are noticing the step up in tone. From my country cover/original gig yesterday, the band leader said the sound is so “amp like and open”. This was the Dr z38 model or whatever that one is. At my rock and hairband gig, its really going over well too. Im still waiting on my Zenrigs stuff and kinda desperate. I dont want the FM9 to get funked up in the meantime.
It really didn’t need much tweaking to get great sounding tones out if it. All I hope now is it keeps working and continues to be supported for the next few years and if so this purchase was a no brainer. Anyone considering the FM9, get it. Spend the few hundred extra. The modeling really is in a league of its own.
