FM9 Firmware Version 9.02

happened again
all blocks were green
I have never had issues before this firmware and have been fractal since axefx std
any suggestions on next step
contact fractal support?

I would reload the firmware and see if it does afterwards. Perhaps it got corrupted somehow or something. If that doesn't work then yeah I would contact support.

Worst case you can revert to the previous firmware until the issue is resolved.

Since a number of people are experiencing the issue I'm not sure opening a support case makes sense as I'm guessing Fractal is aware of the issue.

Has there been a confirmation that this is actually being tracked as a potential bug? Last official response I saw in this thread was that there have been no issues, only people who don’t understand how to use soft reset. (I’m paraphrasing but not much… it came off as pretty dismissive)

Your mention of soft reset reminded me of the first new thing I did after the 9.02 update.

I did a soft reset of all presets in the preset manager, selecting them all at once, as mentioned in the release notes and here.
I'm not sure if this is directly related to the issue, as I did it right after the update.

I tagged a few admins/moderators of the forum including cliff about the issue, so I am sure they seen it and they see this thread as well.

I just went back to the start of the thread to the point where Cliff responded.

There were 5 people who reported a similar issue.

I would agree with his comment - I don't think that's "a lot".

I do think there's an issue and I'm sure they're aware and investigating.

Peace on that. “a lot” is entirely too subjective to be able to quantify anyway. The part I was taking issue with as dismissive was “In fact, I don't see anyone having a single issue outside of a few cases of misunderstanding the Soft-Reset feature.” which is much more absolute, especially considering the 5 that did report this issue.

Fair point.

Has anybody noticed and changes in the "mix law" for reverbs and delays? My mix levels (value numbers) didn't change but the amount of wet seems to be less than before. I gigged with 9.01 just fine, and noticed this only after doing a couple of gigs this past weekend on 9.02.

I haven't noticed that on my end. My jazz preset sounds exactly the same as it did on previous firmware.

Do you happen to use the "Global effects mix"? Is it set to something lower than 100%?

If you don't share details it's going to take longer do diagnose and fix..

I just had the no output issue happen to me for the 2nd time. Reboot seems to fix it but should not be happening.
FM9 MK2 Turbo
9.02
1-At power up there is no output from any preset.
2-The input meters show no input from any preset.
3-reboot and the problem is fixed

I am using the FM9 Turbo MK2
Firmware 9.02

Not sure what other details are needed. Pretty much the same issue other have reported.

Some people have no sound at power up.

Other people lose sound after some time.

Helpful additional details if it happens again would be what preset it was on and attaching the preset if it's not a factory preset.

Since there will probably be an update soon for the occasional no sound issue at boot, I'm reporting another issue I found after the 9.02 update.

FC Controllers/Onboard Switches - If you reduce Bank Size to 1 in Config and then increase it back to 5, all the preset names for all the footswitches will be the same, and there's no way to get it back until you reboot.
