I looked at the release dates for FX3, then FM3, then FM9 firmware, and, yeah, Fridays are more common but not by a whole lot. It's not enough of a gap to make it be a thing.They've historically released a LOT on Friday - hence the frequently used phrase "Firmware Friday".
Also, how will it ruin their Holiday? If something doesn't work, reload the previous firmware and wait for an update.
