FM9 Firmware Version 11.0 public beta #1

Possible bug that didn't exist on v10. When switching to a preset with a pitch block and delay block in presets that have those effect in a scene ( although seamless) the first delay ring is pitched shifted then the delay returns to normal without it being pitched has anyone experienced this? Thank you in advanced. I would like to add I used to be a Headrush user about a year and a half ago. Their updates were few and far between but their forums were just bad. I sold my unit largely because of that processor was capable of so much more. I don't think I can give enough superlatives to Fractal Audio except to quote an old song " Everyday is Christmas and every night is new years eve" I am so greatful for the updates. Thank you...

Not sure I fully understand your problem. If spillover between presets is enabled then whatever is currently stored in a delay block will be spit out after switching to another preset if that preset has a delay block too. Would you mind attaching your presets you switch between that expose the issue ?

Apologies for not giving a clear explanation. I will send the presets when I get home. I thought the same thing but I'm going from a preset that has no pitch block into one that does have a pitch block in the layout but is not active in the preset.

It's likely a preset spillover issue and not a bug. From the manual (when using preset spillover):

"You must then also ensure that the same Delay or Reverb blocks exist in each of your presets where you wantspillover. These need to be the same block and the same number (i.e. Delay 1 spills over only through Delay 1,Delay 2 through Delay 2, etc.)."

Thank you for your response I am going to double check that as far as the actual spillover to the preset it was very smooth in fact the spillover feature seems to have improved since v10 I'm not sure if anything was worked on to improve. I just hope it wasn't a placebo effect on me.

I tested out all the probable presets and there was no issue it worked perfectly. I don't know if this had anything to do with it but I did a soft reset after I discovered the issue. If I find anything in the future I will post the presets and have a more coherent explanation. Again thank you for your input.
 
I am also using 11 beta. Most has been good. However, I have noticed that sometimes FM9-Edit cannot connect to the unit and I have to power cycle the unit for it to show up. Not sure if that is related to the beta or something else? Anyone else run into that?

Fw11 is definitely more taxing. Slower response to 9edit. I had a preset lockup for 20 seconds with no audio then it came back with no intervention.
I couldn't reproduce the audio issue.

So these sound similar but not the same, I think.

@Louike is saying channels other than the default (or possibly specifically channel A) are not updated.

@millman is saying that the issue is in the Amp 2 block.

I won't be able to check until later but tagging @m_brown in case he can confirm.

Edit:

I checked the Axe Fx III release notes and it does mention an issue regarding wrong preamp hardness fix but only got amps using EF86 preamp tubes.

Can you guys confirm which amp models you are seeing this with?
Fixed in latest beta version.
