FM9 as Audio Interface - How to send input on USB, and not mix with USB from Computer in Output

I'm using my FM9 with amp plug-ins, so I run my guitar into the FM9 and through USB to my DAW, and then the DAW out through USB to the FM9 and out from OUT1 to my monitors.

Key is to not have the guitar input mixed with the DAW output in the monitors.

How I did it:
Use the BYPASS preset
Add a drive (or any other block, really) between In1 and Out1
Set the drive for bypass with bypass=MUTE

I’m not sure I completely understand what you’re doing, but if you don’t want signal going from input to output, just make sure there’s no path in the grid from input to output.

A simpler way to do it is to set the Output 1 mode in the I/O settings to "Mute" and set your DAW track to take input from usb channels 5/6. That way there's no need for a special preset.
