My setup with the hotone ampero control, ampero switches, necktar pedal my be the cheapest
for the combination of 8 pedal button +1 expression pedal.
Power of 12V for the MIDI pedal is provided over the FAS connector.

The buttons are a tad too close for my big feet and it regularly happened I switched banks while I didn't want to
I ended up buying the more expensive but very functionnal VOES MX5 that totally does the job for me. I have one advice though, which is to buy it with the soft switches and not the mechanical ones. More comfortable on stage.
If I'd do a lot of gigs (not the case actually only 5-8 per year) I'd either go for an Axe Fx III or I'd link it to my Gordius LG2 so to get the FM3 closer to my backline just for not having all those cables running on the floor from the unit to stage box and monitors and AC power.
