FM3 using with TRS jack cable

Hi there, writing for a quick information.

I need to use FM3 with a TRS jack cable. The reason of that is that I want to avoid phantom power into XLR output going accudentally back fron mixer to FM3.
Could you please help me out? I called support (many thanks for support, as always) and probably i understand wrongly.
I only need to connect TRS jack cable into output 2 and connect that into a channel mixer.
Finally, i need to change output 1 in output 2 block or change into setting “copy output 1”
Is this correct?

Thanks a lot in advance for support
Cheers

I’m using a “hum buster.” Works fine with output 1 blocks, though, I dowlnloaded a file with Output 1 block that doesn’t produce any sound on FM3. Note: the DSP has NOT been exceeded. Please help. Thanks!

it could be something in the file that we can't see.

After checking, I see that an IR was not assigned to the cab. Hmmm . . . how can people design & sell these presets as such?

Where did you download the file from? Axe-Change or a vendor selling presets?

This preset, ZENLEAD, was presented in a YouTube video. He stated it could be “built” following the video or purchased from a link he set up. I went back, watched the video again and got the IR info from there. Thanks for your reply!

Sorry guys for returning on the same issue. I used a TRS jack in output 2 L (I think to have a mono signal) but level sound is very low.
Why using XLR in output 1 sound level is good but in output 2?
Thanks a lot in advance
Ciao

See p. 6 and p. 21 along with Section 4 in the manual:

Output 2 L+R – (Stereo) — (2) 1/4" Jacks (Humbuster) — Use these 1/4" unbalanced outputs to connect to unbalanced inputs, such as those on many guitar power amps and other devices.
HumbusterTM technology on Output 2 can significantly reduce hum from ground loops.

A TRS <—> TRS cable is not the same as a Humbuster cable, so I suspect you are confusing the circuitry. Out 2 is not a balanced output so use a TS cable if you do not have a Humbuster.

Also, did you set the pad for Out 2 to 0 dB?

Hi Greg, first of all, thanks a lot for reply and helping me out.
I want to use a normal jack cable in the output 2 (L used to mono, correct?) but when I use this, level is lower compared to the XLR output 1.
Yes, pad for output 2 is set to 0 dB.
I’va also set Copy output 1 option
Thanks again
