Yeah I have a similar midi to usb cable and use MIDI-OX to see what is going on with the commands and stuff. Checking using that interface knew that the FM9 was send midi commands that I set up. It was only when interfacing with rC-500 that nothing happened. I recently purchased a BlackStar amped 1 pedal power unit and its TRS midi cable was Type B. Really silly not do the standard with I believe now is Type A.
