FM3 Locks Up with Loud Sustained Tone and Loss of Input and Output Controls

Issue: FM3 locked up with a loud sustained tone and I lost control of all input and output (with FM3-Edit running, FC-12 connected, FC-12 FW 1.11 and FM3 FW 1.06 official release). So here’s an odd one for you. Two days ago, I was blissfully rocking out to The Beatles’ Back In The USSR when, during the high A single note solo section, my FM3 suddenly became unresponsive, while loudly ringing out a weird tone. This weird tone did not change at all and stayed at the same volume, whether I tried turning the guitar volume knob down or the Level 1 output knob of the FM3 down. I was using scene 4 of Austin Buddy's Live Gold “Hot” BMay AC-30 FM3 preset (which is a fantastic go-to preset for me in my R.E.M. tribute band project). FM3-Edit with the latest update was connected and the official FM3 FW 1.06 was loaded at the time.

Work around: Power cycling fixed the problem, which has not reoccured so far.
