FM3 Firmware Version 9.02 public beta (3)

Gotta be honest - there's a lot of good stuff in the new FW28 that will hopefully make it to the FM3

For me - the only thing of interest is can the new "triode algorithms" run on the FM3 as they impact/improve pretty much every single Amp.

Find out soon enough I would suspect.

I finally did this after years of first the Axe 2, and then the FM3. The 3 is a remarkable upgrade, and will be your most valued tool. I finally decided selling a guitar or two was well worth adding the 3. Not only is the guitar performance better, but the overall sound quality of the studio audio is noticeably better running thru the 3, as well as seemingly better USB performance.

I think it mostly just the spring Algorithm, so good and bad thing that likely will not delay the current beta . Looks like it just moving the
NFB for the Freidmans to the amp block from advanced

I finally have some free time to try this beta again. I noticed that the "Upgrade all presets" function in the Setup->Utilities menu doesn't seem to actually clear the inverted preset number 'upgrade needed' indicator state on all the presets with this firmware. I had to manually store / save most of my presets on the unit one at a time. Is this just because it's a beta?

No, that's normal. Don't save them one at a time, that will take forever. Try this simple guide, that will resave all the presets.

Back everything up and give the Beta a try. You can always revert to your backup within minutes. It’s been very stable for me. Hopefully we’ll get the GM soon.

If you execute the command, all presets will be updated to the latest FW. In the past some people have A/B'd updating vs. not and found that in some instances they preferred to not update. It's easy to revert, if you have them backed up though.
