Anyone else experiencing output drops with the latest beta?

I've been running the latest beta since its release, but a couple of days ago, the audio and output dropped. That has happened with my unit before, and simply rebooting fixes it. But now it's happening every time I run the FM3.

To trigger the issue, all I have to do is change a preset. The output block will then show no signal going out, and no audio.

As I said, rebooting sometimes fixes it, but sometimes it doesn't. Creating a new preset with just input and output sometimes works, but as soon as I add an amplifier, the output drops. I'm going to go back to 9.01 to see if it happens with that version. But it's sad because I've made some new presets that I really love that don't seem to work with 9.01.

Sorry if this is wrong thread for posting issues, but I've updated first to 9.01, then to 9.02 beta 3 and still got an issue with the default layout being all preset 0. I tried "Load Factory Default Layouts & Settings" but the presets layout still shows all preset 000 (which is "59 Bassguy").

Have you updated fm3edit as well?

On both. Yes, fm3edit is 1.07.06
I can switch the presets manually from the list, I just can't switch them using buttons.

The functions for buttons are "Select in Bank" preset 1, 2, 3

This type of thing is often from too high CPU use. see if you can tell what the CPU percentage is. You should aim for low 70s to leave some headroom.

I would do a back up and sent to the devs so they can take a look and potentially prevent this from happening in future releases. It could have something to do with your configuration, user cabs, etc.

first in fm3 edit, got to fc edit and then to fc config. check whether the bank size ist set to 3.


then check, that the buttons select the right presets 1,2 and 3:

Yep, that's exactly how they are set up.
Also I checked that this is reset when I do a layouts reset on a device.

ah, ok. whata coincidence, that i had the same symptoms as you did just 2 days ago. unfortunate, it seems to be a different problem with your unit.

Can you share screenshots from the footswitch configuration and how it is setup in the layout (all the screens like @stephanfm3 did)?

Fortunately my gigging presets that I created a long time ago are still there in either 9.01 or beta 3.

Presets from version 9.02 are not available in version 9.01

Ok, so I did that and it helped. I compared the setups and remembered that I tested some external MIDI foot controller which probably required some changes.
Anyway, the culprit was Setup->MIDI/Remote->Mapping->PC Mapping value being On, phew!
