FM3 Firmware Version 12.0

I install every new firmware and beta as soon as they are released.
With previous versions, even with pickups that are more powerful than the SSV, which has medium output at best, I have never seen the input clipping signal.
In the past, the input pad function worked reliably to prevent clipping, even with powerful pickups. Something seems to have changed.
Fortunately, I don't perceive any distortion with my ears.
Try reinstalling the same firmware.

Most of time I do not hear much difference with new FW. But here there's a little detail I didn't notice in the previous beta versions but maybe it was there already : there's that really "roaring" sound on long ringing chords. Breakup distortion seems a bit more "fluid" also, less harsh (but wasn't harsh though). I really appreciate and didn't hear it the same way before. Is this true or just happening in my head ?

Try reinstalling the same firmware.
After reinstalling the firmware I still get the Input clipping warning over the tuner with Input Pad setting at max attenuation. The red LED is just tickling. This is not OK, but I can live with that, because I do not hear any distortion.

Maybe open a support case?

Something seems off...

What happens after the update with the CAB blocks which referenced User IR slots above 512?
Will the reset the number in the # field or will it still the same (i.e. if CAB1L had #1010, it will still keep this number but no IR will be loaded)?

I moved all necessary IRs from 500+ slots to same slots but starting from 0 (i.e. IR which was in slot 808 is now 308, so all I need to do when updating presets post-FW12 is just to decrease the number by 500), but for this, CAB block should retain same numbers post-update.

Or will the numbers above IR 512 just reset to some other number, maybe to F1 001?

I’m also getting the same warning on the display screen. I never used to get that warning and I’m using the same guitars that I always have.

@m_brown can you please help here? I'm just trying to understand if I should do only one pass through presets after the update, or two (one before FW update to switch IRs, and one after FW update to review other changes).
