FM3 Firmware Version 12.0 public beta

IMPORTANT: This update adds new DynaCab™ models to the FM3, bringing it in sync with the Axe-Fx III and FM9. To make room for these, the number of User Cab slots has been reduced from 1024 to 512. If you have any User Cabs stored in slots 513–1024, please back them up using FM3-Edit. Those slots will be removed, and any cabs in them will be permanently lost after the update.
:cry::cry: - additional storage via USB?

Can't wait to try it but have a huge issue to solve first
It so happened that most of my presets use IR from 512+ section of User Cab section. For no reason, I just decided to do so.
I need to move them to -512 section and re-map, but first I need to get the current mapping for many presets I've built over the years.
Shall I try FracTool or something to build the list?
Any chance Fractal can offer a simple tool to connect to device and build the map of all blocks in every preset? I'm sure that's a lot to ask but maybe there's a way?... Will take me ages to build the list manually.

I have quite a few like that also. Don't remember why though................... :-)

Load the Firmware update first before updating the DynaCabs!
I tried installing the DynaCabs first and got an Error for File size too large. Looks like the Firmware being loaded first clears the User Slots for the larger DynaCab install. Once I got the firmware installed it was plain sailing.
Thanks Fractal Team for a great upgrade. 👍

Wow!! I don't know how FAS did it, but boot time is WAY faster. That's huge if you ever have to reboot during a live set if there's a hiccup. Nice work!

Crazy, I'm really looking forward to testing it tomorrow. All other appointments are canceled 🤣 Thank you for the great work and I am very grateful that I have been part of the family since 2021. I have been playing in the Status Quo Tribute Band "Quotime" for 18 years and we have never received more compliments on our guitar sound than before with our FM3 🤗 It makes our lives as musicians much easier and better.

Very cool that you created a way for the FM3 to stay in sync with the other Gen 3 platforms:cool:. Not cool that all of my IRs are located in slots 600 and above. LOL I purposely put them up that high as to (hopefully) not conflict with other comercial preset makers IR locations. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I'm in the same boat, but it's a worth while trade-off IMO! One thing that I do that might help in the future is that I put all the needed preset info in the title, like this...

"T.800.T1C.GB121.184.25W.121.184"

Timmy/JCM800/Tonex One channel C/Two custom Cab Lab 4 IR's (Green Back via 121 and KM184, and Pre Rola 25W via 121 and KM184).

Just move your needed IR's into the first 500 slots and re-link, that's what I'm doing, though I use kitchen sink presets so I only have a handful to deal with.

Thanks FAS!

Feel your pain. Although there might be an easy solution I didn't wait.

Short stubby pencil and legal pad... but I got there. :)
