FM3 Firmware Version 10.0

does this happen with the factory presets?
if no, maybe your presets have some problems, post one and we can help (or create one from scratch to see if it's replicable)
if yes, take a look at the settings in you machine or reset them (assuming you go direct guitar > cable > fm3)
At the same time, the signal itself in the speakers is not overloaded

It's been my first ever Fractal firmware update :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:- it worked like a charm. I was coming from 9.01.

Everything works fine on my Turbo so far.

Thank you for the tremendous work you put into developing user experience!

your preset is fine! (as already mentioned by @stephanfm3

you should take a look at:
  • input 1 gain / Ac line freq
  • noisegate offset
  • if you have active eq

then:
- output / playback levels
input-01.png

and then (if you have active eq):
- check for levels or strange eq spikes

Sorry for my English!
there is a problem with signal clipping, any guitar is overloaded, but the signal itself is not distorted, lowering the input signal level does not react if you make it lower, what could be the problem?
How do you know it's clipping?

Are you getting a Clip Warning message?

What firmware version did you update from?

An indication appears in the form of a red signal, and a warning in the form of an inscription, at the top of the screen, where the tuner is shown
Firmware 10.0

Ok, that's a Clip Warning.

You need to adjust the Input Pad in global settings. The warning means you're clipping the A/D converter.

I know you've loaded FW 10 but my question was about the previous FW version you were using before the update because the Clip Warning was added somewhat recently.

I apologize, I know English very poorly=)

The previous firmware was 9.01

Hi there, new to fm3. I wanted to ask if there is a way to replicate the effects of input dynamics that axe III has on the amp block.

Do all amp blocks consume the same amount of dsp? In helix world we had L6 models (like the FAS) which they were low dsp cost.

I doubt that FAS models consume less, but even if they (or some others) do, it doesn’t matter because amp models run on a dedicated core, it wouldn’t free up cpu for other effects.

They are basically all the same.

Edit:

Just a note that this question doesn't really belong in this thread which is about new firmware.

There's a forum for FM3 discussion and you can post your own threads there.
