Firmware update question

Hi,

After advice (for which i am grateful) to update my firmware currently 0.19! I have spent the last 4 hours trying my cheap usb-midi interface ( one usb which branch to two midis, in and out) but to avail!

I am wondering if i will need to purchase a device such as the Midisport 2x2 or if i am just not setting up my cheap midi device correctly?

Need more info. What operating system are you using; what program are you using to send sysex file? Does the MFC show anything beyond 0% Complete?
 
windows 7 64 bit, midi-ox and the mfc shows nothing other than the firmware update page. Midiox is not detecting midi in or output.

USB from laptop and one of the two midi inputs( I have tried both) into the Midi in on the MFC.

MFC has one MIDI In, and one MIDI Out. Are you connecting the MIDI Out from your USB MIDI adapter to the MFC MIDI In connector?
