FIRMWARE UPATE PROBLEM AXE8

Hey guys new to the site having problems updating Firmware 10.01 for axe8 it shows a green check mark like it is reading the editor but not say what firmware I'm on or will it update the usb cable is fine it works with my AXE FX 3 any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Bill

You don't use the editor (AxeEdit) for firmware updates, you use FractalBot - simply down the sysx. file (firmware 10.01) to a location you can find easily. Connect your AX8 via usb to computer (power it all up) open FractalBot - select input as AX8 it will confirm with all is good. When you're ready to go "import" the 10.01 sysx file and hit update - sit back and watch the progress bar...once done it will ask you to power cycle the AX8 to lock in the new firmware. You can verify what your current firmware is but turning on the AX8 and watching screen or hit the shift/setup menu and tabbing over to find it...the manual describes this process.
