Firmware 3.03 is what i have now

And a new HP Pavillion computer ....It seems my connection is ok and I uploaded all the new drivers and axe edit...and fractal bot,,, but in the upper left corner it shows "disconnectedRED"...(axe-edit).
Is my mark II too old for a jump from 3.03 to 10. * all at once? Ive been without a computer for a couple of years... and my usb port might not be compatable with a new HP Windows 10? I get the first green slash...but not the middle one.(Fractal Bot)'''..and if I choose waveform" then iget the 3rd one...But without all 3 I guess I'm not going to be abl to update? Or is the connection before my update issue? IS there an adaptor from USB to Sys?

Instead of all 3 green OK's...i get just one. As soon as i open fractal bot i should have 3 green checks... and proceed to make a firmware
update....but it only gives me the top green...and upper left corner of my axe-edit shows a red highlighted "Disconnected"... Do i need to
uninstall my old drivers from my unit? I'm leaning towards the usb connection between my mark 11 not working with this new 2018 HP pavilion..
 
And the amazing thing is that I'm SOBER !! Just tired...LOL


Has anyone done a firmware update this far apart? version 3.03 to the new 10 ?
 
Forget Axe Edit for now. Just use Fractal Bot to upgrade.

Download and Install the Axe FX 2 Windows USB drivers, download the 10.01 Axe FX 2 firmware .zip file and unzip it, be sure to pick the right version of Axe FX 2 that you have.

Plug the axe in via USB, turn it on, open up Fractal Bot, make sure you are on the "Send" tab.

Select "Axe FX II Original/Mk II" if that's what you have.

Browse to the UNZIPPED .syx firmware 10.01 file and click begin.

Welcome to sonic nirvana. You will probably need to start from scratch with all your presets though. So much has changed since V3.

If you want to back up your presets before you go in case it goes wrong, in Fractal Bot click on the "RECEIVE" tab

It's all in the manual

****** THANKS ANDREW !! ** After only 20 minutes... edit works and my firmware is 10.0 !!!
When i come home from work today...its a 4 hour sonic binge !!!!!!!!!
