Finally copyied the Boss HM-2 accurately!

Wow, sounds just like my HM2 .. which was the worst sounding pedal I ever bought :-) .. I still have it ..couldn't give it away :-)
Seriously , though , thanks for showing us the way .

Cheers

Slightly off topic, but I thought I might be able to add something to the party table. I got hold of a modded HM-2-type pedal today. I stuck it into a clean JM45 with some OwnHammer GB cabs (Axe-FX III MKII, FW 20.04) and came up with this. After I'd uploaded it I wandered over here to see if there was any other HM-2/Fractal action and found this thread by Turgon. Now I feel I'm using it all wrong! Ha. Still, it wouldn't be a bad addition to the FW pedal arsenal someday. 🤘🏻

Our boy in Floyd had an HM-2.
I'm 100% not a scholar on every pedal he ever used, but it was on his board.
There are photos floating around.

As someone who owns an HM-2w I can tell you it's not just a Swedish Chainsaw machine.
The EQ is interesting and not ordinary. With the gain rolled back it can do other useful things
It's why it's used in shoegaze bands.

Would LOVE to see one in Fractal.

Hi there guys,

I don't frequent this forum very often, but today I published a Vid in where I show a patch that copies the famous chainsaw sound of the Boss HM-2. I think it's pretty accurate. Maybe some of you find this helpfull!

Great job!!
Sounds as awful as I remember!
I used an HM-2, back in late ‘85/‘86 in my first band.(with a Boss CE-2) It was terrible. BUT, it was better than the distortion in my Peavey amps.
