Here is our new song - Leaving for good!

Had a great time with tweaking guitar tones in Axe FX !!!

All Rhythm tracks were done using Fender Strat guitar, and USA Clean and Suhr Badger model from Axe FX II
Lead tracks were done using Ibanez JS2400 guitar and Marshall JMP amp model!

I would love to hear your feedback! :)

Nice job! Very Zeppelin-esque vibe. Vocals sound awesome! I wish I had a sound like that!!

If I may offer some criticism- and this could just be me- I had a hard time finding a 'pocket' in there. The drums sounded very loose. The open hat was used a lot and seemed to keep things from tightening up.

Thanks guys for the feedback!

@Rich G, I agree. LOL. I programmed drums myself, not a drummer but tried my best. But I will definitely keep that in mind in the future. :)

I like the guitar tones, playing, and vocals, but the song itself is a bit "busy". There's not a lot of dynamic range. Also, lacking a bit in the bass department. I can kinda hear it on my studio monitors so I know it's there. But it has a "mixed with headphones" vibe to me.

Yep... and drums are too in the background... need some semplification in the cymbals pattern... and... well... the song structure need some bridge far away from the ... Alabama mood ;)
Anayway... vocal and guitar... are gr8 :encouragement:

Thanks guys for the feedback! I will definitely spend more time on drums/bass and the mix!

Karl, you are right, the song was mixed using headphones..lol that's the joy of living in an apartment. ;)

I would love to hear more feedback from all of you!!! thanks :)

And they say I'm deaf from all this loud playing... :D

The only way I could tell is because I've been there, done that. You end up with something with no low end punch, and depending on the cans you use, prominent midrange. Most commercial headphones are meant for listening enjoyment and aren't flat by any means. Good news is that even in an apartment setting you should be able to get by with a decent set of near fields without angering your neighbors. You'll be shocked at how much better your mixes sound.

Thanks! I have been using AKG 271 MKII reference headphones, they do decent job. I used to have Yamaha HS50 monitors, but sold it because I never got a chance to use it, lol. Plus, without decent room treatment and monitor location I wasn't sure if it would really help.

But maybe I should buy them again. lol :)

Once again thanks for your suggestion!
