Fc6 switch not engaging

I'm posting in behalf of a band mate

He has an FM3 the latest FW and FC6 mark I, running omg9 on FC firmware 1.12
The top left foot switch on the fc6 is not engaging when the nut is fully tightened holding the switch in pace. However loosening the nut almost all the way and pressing the switch it is engaging. (almost like I'm pressing the switch deeper into the FC)
Almost like it's getting more 'travel' to be able to engage, despite the travel throw being limited by the switch itself. It's very odd.

I used to own this unit and when I upgraded to FM9t I sold him this setup. I never had an issue. He's owned it for about a year.

I don't believe this happened prior to the latest firmware update for the fm3, but I'd have to ask him...though I don't believe one would affect the other.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

If the mounting screw(s) for the PCB has come loose, the switch could be sitting a bit further away from the external actuator. You could try opening the FC-6 up and checking if the PCB is still mounted firmly to the underside of the top panel. Its mounting screws may have come loose or something.
