FWIW ... I sold my MFC board with my II and was a little reluctant on purchasing another midi controller . Based upon positive forum feedback I purchased a Morningstar MC6 . Was pleasantly surprised how well it worked with the III. Small , compact and fairly easy to program with editor program . I made a custom midi cable to supply phantom power but it is not required .
