fc-300 keeps sending midi msgs to afx

I recently purchased an fc-300 to control my axefx, so far I'm pretty happy with its features, the only thing that concerns me is that the "midi in" below the screens is lit up the entire time fc-300 is connected, for some reason it keeps sending midi msgs to the axe, does anyone know why this is happening and should I be worried about any technical failure?

Yes it does, and no it should not hurt it.
There's a post in the old forum that covers that...

However, the Axe does not appear to send midi messages back...
Let me know how it goes, 'cus that's what I'm using and programming it - in conjunction with setting up patches on the AxeFX in an appropriate manner - takes planning and is something of a PITA.

I have read the posts about the reviews of fc-300, but it does not seem that there is a real solution to the midi update problem. At least its good to know that there will not be a technical issue caused by it.
