Fc 12 lockup after updating to28

Is any body experiencing fc12 lockup after updating the firmware?

Yes I Did to 28.03. Had a gig last night and experienced freeze issues on the FC12, not on the Axe III, so I had to turn the dial manually to get to presets. Thanks

One thing to try if that happens again is just to unplug and replug the FC cable. No guarantees, but worth a shot.

Unlikely due to the firmware and more likely due to a bad XLR cable. Nothing was changed in the footswitch code and no one else has reported this.

I will switch that XLR today and hope it works. I didn't have time to update factory presets either and ill do that today. I was thinking maybe there was a conflict of some kind. Thanks for responding. Got through the night and and that's all that matters. Thanks for responding

Mine has done this since new. Early on, several buttons would not function when it happened. Now it’s just one button that doesn’t function.

My fix has been to not leave my foot on a button for any length of time when using it to change scenes. FW 28.02 now

Unplugging the XLR has always reset it.

It’s happened more of late - it has done it the last 2 shows I’ve played. For me it happens when I change scenes to solo and forget to lift my foot.

It’s never been a big deal to me

I’m on 28.2 with a mark 1 FC-12 and it locks up on me since I upgraded to 28. Never had this before. Unplugging XLR and plugging it back in fixes it. I read in foot control forum where it could be an issue with AXE Edit running at the same time using the foot switch. But this happens even if AXE Edit isn’t running but plugged into my Windows 11 ARM laptop.

I’m using same xlr that I’ve used since I got it in January 2020. It hasn’t moved since fall of 2022.
