Expression pedals, channels...Did I miss something?

Preset open has Wah, Pitch (Whammy), Tremolo, Rotary.
If scene 1 has the pedal as a wah and then I make scene 2 a whammy with the same pedal on channel a I lose the wah on scene 1.

Does that make any sense? I want to set the scenes up so that the first 4 scenes each set the EV1 to a different effect block to control speed etc..
It looks like you cannot turn a modifier off even if you change channel on a scene?

In the modifier view you can select any SINGLE channel or ALL channels.

Select the channel you want.
