expression pedal for wah only

Hello All,

I am completely new to the FM3 and am trying to set up my expression pedal to control wah. But I am encountering a problem, it is controlling VOLUME and wah - volume at 0 heal down, then wah changes as you go toe down. I have the expression out jack from the foot pedal going to the Pedal 1 input, and the volume output going to the Instrument in 1 input.

I tried to use only the expression out jack, and not volume out jack, but when I do that there is no sound.

FWIW - I think I followed the instructions from the FM3 manual correctly.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong, and how to correct it would be much appreciated.

You can either run it as expression OR volume, not both at the same time. Do not run your guitar signal through it, only use expression out.
