Experiments for Game music

Hi all,

i would like to hear some opinions about this audio track, link is here:

I have tested if some kind of metal/Rock music will fit to space shooter game. So i made a very raw short music, for testing. And we're not sure if some kind of music fit really into the game.

So, what do you think about?

It's not my youtube channel, it's from the programmer of this game. Together with some other guys, i'm responsible for the music in this game which will be mostly orchestral music, or have to be :)
Played with the factory preset "Das Metal" and some loops from Logic for the drums.

It sounds ok, but I feel that it gets a little bit "lost" in all the game fx. I feel that some variations on the song could do the trick and especially some equing/mixing could also be very beneficial.

thank you both for your suggestions, that could be very helpful. I thought that i do not to much on the music-theme, because with the audio-fx (whitch are lightyears from final) will disturb enough. I will try your ideas, lets see....
