Everything you've always wanted to know about: Resetting an Amp

Many firmwares ago a friend of mine was very pissed off with Fractal firmware updates because it didn't sound right for him. He did not realize that by performing a reset of all the Amps after a firmware update he was also resetting personalized parameters, like the 5 Band (Mark) EQ of his beloved Petrucci presets. He was so frustrated that he moved to the bread toaster and never came back.

FracTool knows all the values that you select because it reads them before executing the reset, and it preserves them
But, that could only apply to parameters that are not reset. Where does it read the default values from, so it can adjust only the ones it’s resetting?

Well, THAT showed Fractal.

If you save a channel to your library and then do a reset of the channel. Will the channel be reset when you again apply the amp/effect? Or does it still remember the old values?

A saved block or channel is just a bunch of settings. If you restore them by loading the saved one then it will be as it was when saved.
