I have found two unused old EVM12L for sale. One of them has serialnr. 812 0906 9925

Has any of you got an idea of which precise model that is or where I can get information?

I have cheked the EV homepage but couldnt find information

AFAIK there was a Series 1 version - it has a 300W rating - possibly a black backing on the magnet and a heatsink on the earliest ones. The later Series 2 version has a 200W rating and usually has a blue backing with 'Classic' written on it.

There's also a modern Zakk Wylde 300W black label version - rated at 300W.

There were OEM versions made for Mesa - can't remember now what they looked like.

General consensus seems to say there's no discernible difference in sonic quality between the Series 1 and Series 2 - I don't know about the Zakk Wylde one.

If they're unused and undamaged then I'd say go for them.
 
Found this information in that thread :

"The first 3 digits denote the ohmage and size. I'm guessing the next 4 denote the model but the final 4 definitely confirm the datecode. For example 812 9460 9612 would be the 12th week of 1996"

That meens the ones I can buy are at 8 ohm and made in june 1999 - was that a good year for EVM´s ? :)
