Im thinking of getting one of these. I normally use amp/cab but with the latest firmware being much better with FRFR - and the fct that on occasion I HAVE to monitor quietly on stage - im thinking about this speaker.

Its passive - which was something I wanted as I will drive it from my Matrix which is in the Rack anyway. so - anyone tried it?

What about the flavor of the year - NX12SMA? If you sell the Matrix, plus a few bucks, you'd get a coaxial active monitor, lighter, bi-amped, and at least there are great reviews from forumites; or maybe the Jaytomic which has even better specs than the RCF.
