Ethernet Cable (Cat 5) No Click / Secure?

Is it normal for the ethernet cable (Cat 5) to not click in place on the back of the Axe FX (MFC)? I've tried 3 cables so far w/ no click in place like it does on the foot controller.
 
Not normal. Do the cables have boots around the plug? When I got my MFC, I sometimes had to slide the boot down (towards the middle of the cable) a bit so it would allow the plug to seat properly.
 
All 3 cables (different) have the boots around the plug. It's just not clicking in place in the back.
 
some cables I have click others not. The CAT connection on the MCF is very weak in and loose in general. Not very road proof.
 
The cable that 'clicked' for me is the cable supplied by G66. Not sure which brand that is. It says HRS on the side, not sure if that is the brand name.
Like I said before the connection on the MCF is still very loose even with the clicked cable. That is just a weakness in the design of the MCF.
