Entering Looper Mode Via MIDI

Hi All,

Is there any way to enter Looper Mode with a CC message or should sending the proper CCs for looper control work even if you are not in Looper Mode?

“Looper mode” just changes the footswitches to show looper controls. If there is a looper block in the preset, then MIDI will trigger the functions.
 
Good to know! So, I'm sending CC28 with a value of 127 to start record, then another of the same to play and then CC29 at 127 to stop playback. I see the unit as receiving MIDI at each of those times but no recording takes place? Am I missing something?

According to the manual, pressing record a second time stops recording and starts playback when using the footswitches. Is it not the same when using midi?
 
Figured it out.

Record: CC#28 Value 127
Play: CC#28 Value 0
Stop: CC#29 Value 0
