Elis 8 stereo speakers for live.

I have a set of Elis8s as well - wondering if break-in time is needed here, although I experience the same slightly darker sound when compared to my main studio monitors, which are Focal Twin Be6 (which are quite bright! lol). I haven't really used the Elis8s that much since I bought them, but getting ready to put them to use...
Yes, they do break in. Mine have gotten better with use.
 
I definitely find them to be darker overall than other FRFR solutions. But, they also need to be driven harder.
When I say "darker", they have a very smooth top end. Drive them harder, and the speakers open up significantly. This not unlike audiophile speaker systems.
