Effects question

I'm brand new to the FX8 got it last Friday.

Is there a way to copy the parameters of an effect and paste them into the same effect in another preset ?
I know I can drag a whole preset over but I haven't found a way to copy and paste my settings on an effect .

For example I want the same delay on A-1 and A-2 but the other effects are different . How can I get the same delay setting without doing it manually or dragging the whole preset over and then deleting the ones I don't want?

click the block to select it (yellow outline)
either Right-Click on the block or click the BLOCK menu on the top of FX8-Edit and choose COPY
go to the other preset and similarly choose PASTE from that menu

there is also a Blocks Library function to save blocks in for quick loading.

I did the copy and paste and all it did was place the delay effect in the block the setting didn't go with it.

did you check both X and Y settings of the block?

block library is on the bottom left of FX8-Edit.
