I have a question regarding the effects loop send/return jacks. Maybe it's because I'm a studio guy, but why is the send unbalanced, but the return balanced? I'm trying to interface some studio fx processors (XLR in L/R XLR out L/R) into the fx loop (out 2, fx return) and am curious the best way to hook it up before I go and purchase the cabling necessary to do it.
Will using an unbalanced 1/4" to XLR to feed the processor and then returning with an XLR to 1/4" balanced cable screw something up somehow or not operate in the optimum way?
