Bug? EDIT button not working

Hey everyone.
Wanted to make some edits on my MFC-101 and turned out that the EDIT button is not working.
Tried everything, power off - power on. Read how to factory reset the unit by powering off and then powering on holding down footswitch #11 but that does not work either. Factory reset can not be done in other words.
Has someone else experienced this issue?
If the EDIT button is not working, well you basically have a unit that changes presets only. No edits can be made.
Anyone has any idea how this problem can be solved? All the other footswitches are working just fine.
This has been a pain in the *** all day.

Yea, there's not much we can do if it is dead switch I'm afraid.

One thing you can try before you go the route of sending it in is try cleaning the switch out. With the unit off, press the switch rapidly a dozen times or so. If the contacts have some gunk in them that can loosen it up.

There is actually a way to make changes... But you need to buy MFC-EDIT to do it.

This would give you an alternative, at least.
